Surely this should have been checked prior to the tour starting and not as we all got on the coach? This resulted in a delay of 30 minutes whilst waiting for an alternative vehicle to arrive. The tour got off to a bad start by being 30 minutes late due to the fact that the PA system on the coach was not working. Please do yourself a favor, do not purchase anything from GrayLine NY. It seems to be a common practice for them to do everything that they can to charge your credit card ASAP, collect your tickets if there is a problem, and then refuse a refund because you do not have a ticket! Trying to even get a response out of them takes weeks, and then you end up getting a generic "no refund" email. After many phone calls (by us) and emails all useless, we finally get an email worded like many others received that said they will not give any refunds unless the original ticket is returned to them. The employee was over the top, outrageously out of control rude to us, even screamed at us! After no refund, but the charge for our cruise tickets appearing on our credit card, we called Customer Service. We got off of the bus and after standing in line for about 2040 minutes an employee came by to say there was not a 3:00 cruise! We went back to the Info Center where the tours start, and as others have reported here they TOOK OUR TICKETS in order to process a refund. We did this for a cruise to see athe a Statue of Liberty 3:00 cruise. So if you want to get off the bus to see something, you can purchase your ticket right there & see the attraction. HOWEVER, while on the bus they sell tickets to attractions at a discounted price. We actually had one young lady tour guide that kept saying it was her first day and she really did not know anything about NYC! Anyway, because we did ride the bus, we did not ask for a refund. But we did at least ride the bus, and then just decided it was so terrible that we just took a cab everywhere. That has been discussed and I completely agree and we had the same experiences as others.

The tour bus itself was a total rip off and absolutely terrible. In scanning the reviews on here, I wish I had read them before I purchased tickets from them they are exactly right on with the reports of terrible customer service, fraud, etc. GrayLine NY, however is completely different. Then, hop back on the bus and visit Top of the Rock, Times Square, and the Chrysler Building.Do not purchase from GrayLine NY! We have purchased tickets and bus passes from Grayline for other cities and had very nice experiences. See famous landmarks such as the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Liberty Island, and many more with combo tickets.
